The full timetable

Four platforms, four racks, one coach on the floor. Eight is not a marketing number, it is how many people that coach can actually watch. If a session shows full it is full, and we will put you on the waitlist rather than run a ninth person off the same bar.

Four kinds of session

What you are actually booking

  1. 01

    Foundations

The beginner course. Six weeks, same eight people, same coach, no class you can turn up late to.

    Capped at 8 · 60 minutes

  2. 02

    Barbell

Squat, deadlift, press, row. A written programme on a card, a coach who moves between four platforms.

    Capped at 8 · 45 or 60 minutes

  3. 03

    Conditioning

Kettlebells, carries, sled and four minutes on a rower at the end. Hard, short, and it is not a dance class.

    Capped at 8 · 40 or 45 minutes

  4. 04

    Open gym

Members only, no coach on the floor, your own programme. The door code changes monthly.

No cap, no coach, members only

If you have never done this

The first six weeks, written down

Week one is an empty bar and a box, and you go home before you are tired. By week six you walk into an ordinary class with your own numbers on a card. Nobody is asked to get fit first.

  1. 01

The bar, and nothing on it

    The empty bar, 20 kg

  2. 02

    Deadlift, from blocks

    Pulling 40 to 60 kg

  3. 03

    Under the bar

Bar plus 10 to 20 kg a side

  4. 04

    Press and row

    Press 20 to 30 kg, row 30 to 45

  5. 05

A real session, at your weights

    Deadlift 60 to 90 kg

  6. 06

    Your first Barbell class

    Six numbers on a card

What happens in each of the six

£95 for the course, and it comes off your first month if you join.

We took sixty-one people through Foundations in January 2026. Thirty-eight of them were still training in March, which is the only number on this site worth arguing about.

Who this is not for

  • You want a treadmill, a stepper or a bike. We have two rowers and they are for the last four minutes of a conditioning class.
  • You want to be left alone. In a Barbell class a coach will change something about your set-up in the first ten minutes and keep changing it.
  • You want mirrors. There are none, and that is on purpose.
  • You want to train at 22:00. The roller door is down, the lights are off and the last session finished at 20:30.
  • You are preparing for a bodybuilding stage. We will do the strength part honestly and then send you to somebody who does the rest properly.
  • You are under 16, or you want a twelve month contract at a lower monthly price. Neither is something we can do.

If none of that put you off, the next Foundations course starts on a Monday at 17:30 and on a Saturday at 10:15.

Come and stand in it first

Twenty minutes, no lifting, no sales conversation. Most people do this on a weekday lunchtime and join that week.
