The brief
A paediatrician taking over a bare 140 square metre shell, opening in four months, with children waiting in it all day.
What we did
- 01
Two waiting areas, not one
Well-baby check-ups and sick visits arrive through the same door and never share a bench again.
- 02
Everything wipeable to 1.2 metres
Sealed surfaces to child height throughout, with the joins detailed to drain rather than trap.
- 03
Consult rooms on the quiet side
Away from the corridor and the street, so a nervous parent can hear the doctor.
