The brief
A 52 square metre rental the owner wanted to hold for fifteen years, not flip in two.
What we did
- 01
Storage in the thickness of the walls
Wardrobes, pantry and the water heater sit inside a 450 mm service zone instead of eating the floor.
- 02
One material, three finishes
The same plywood carries the kitchen, the bed platform and the desk, so the fit-out reads calm and the joiner only priced one species.
- 03
Daylight to the back wall
A high transom over the partition pulls light into the sleeping side.
